Remind your child(ren) that they can always come to you or another trusted adult if they ever need help navigating the issues that can arise on social media. Please encourage your child to utilize social media as a tool for good, and not to engage in inappropriate behavior. It is equally important for our families to have open and honest dialogue with your child(ren) regarding responsible social media use.

In addition, we would also like to strongly suggest monitoring your child(ren)’s cellphone and social media use, paying close attention in particular to what your child might be posting on-line.Įarlier today I spent time reviewing the District’s Code of Conduct, the cellphone policy and responsible social media use with some of our students. The phone must not be used during the school day, on school grounds, or on school buses. Once the phone has been confiscated, parents will be notified and asked to meet with the principal to address any additional disciplinary infractions and to retrieve the phone.īased upon the Code of Conduct, any student using their phone to record/videotape while in school will be disciplined in accordance with the Code of Conduct.ĭuring the school day, students must keep cell phones stored in his/her locker.
If a student is observed having or using a cell phone in school, the phone will be confiscated. As a reminder, the use of cell phones by students during the school day is strictly prohibited. Recently, students at the middle school have had to be reminded about the use of cellphones while in school. We look forward to seeing you and celebrating the accomplishments of our students! Shoes are preferred, rather than sneakers. Participating students are asked to wear black pants (or skirt), with a white shirt/top. and enter through the main entrance doors of Lincoln Orens Middle School where they will be directed to assigned rooms where they will remain with their supervising teachers before the concert. On the day of the performance, participating s tudents should arrive at 6:30 p.m.
The 7 th and 8 th grade concert will be held on and the 5 th and 6 th grade concert will be held on May 12, 2022. Our students and music department have worked extremely hard to prepare for the concerts and are very excited for the opportunity to perform for their families as we celebrate music education in our schools. We are pleased to announce the in-person return of our Spring Concerts.
